
Lawrence Okolie, a British-Nigerian professional boxer who was born on 16 December 1992, has held the WBO cruiserweight championship since 2021.
He held the Commonwealth cruiserweight championship at the regional level from 2018 to 2019, as well as the British and European cruiserweight titles independently in 2019.
Okolie is renowned for his strong hitting ability, long reach, and precise jab. He is ranked third by the Transnational Boxing Rankings Board and BoxRec as of July 2022, and second best active cruiserweight in the world by The Ring magazine.
